Paul Manafort appears in court in a wheelchair. Attorney Kevin Downing says "there are significant issues with Mr. Manafort's health right now that have to do with his confinement." Wants him sentenced as soon as possible so he can be moved.

Then he should get a nice cell with a big screen, a refrigerator and snack bar. If the info he has gets rid of that that thieving trump clan, he should get a nice cell as a reward.

I've seen prison weaken a bunch of people, usually it in as few months however.

As soon as the indictments came down, all these formerly hale and hearty goodfellas suddenly showed up at court appearances with walkers, wheelchairs, oxygen masks, and IV set-ups, along with a heart-rending tale of failing health and frail constitution. Sallow complexion, slack-jawed uncomprehending faces, and wracking coughs were now the image of these devoted fathers and grandfathers ripped from the loving bosom of their families. when you are used to living the life of Reilly, getting tossed in a jail cell does take its toll on you. From the finest silks and rarest wines to jailhouse scrubs and wine made in a plastic bag from fruit cocktail, bread, sugar, and yeast.

From being a kingmaker to taking a shit in front of other people weighs heavy on a person's soul. So much so that when to full impact of what you've done, you don't have the strenght to stand.

I don’t know what else would be “diet related” and effects your feet, other than diabetes but it doesn’t sound like that’s what it is.

From what I understand, gout is considered a 'rich man's disease'.
Prison food can hardly be considered that, so...

If it IS gout, then he's been eating MUCH better than everyone else in the big house.

Either that, or he's faking things to get sympathy.
