What he's trying to imply is 'Look, Obama didn't do anything about it even though it happened on his watch, so he's partly to blame for Russian Meddling ... of course, that's if it even happened ... maybe it didn't and that's why Obama didn't do anything'

He's trying to play both sides of the fence, IOW.

Of course that's BS because Obama actually did PLENTY, AND then entire Intelligence community says that Russia DID f*** with our elections, but what else do we expect from IQ45?

I mean, his lies are never challenged, so he gets away with running off his mouth like this over and over. And some % of voters are stupid and/or uninformed enough to believe his bullshit.

However, even if there's a tacit admission here that Russia DID in fact 'meddle' ... that is not the same thing as admitting that Russia helped him specifically, and definitely is not an admonition that his campaign sought out and/or fostered Russia's misdeeds.

I mean, I know at *minimum* that many people around him (i.e. people in his campaign and family) conspired with Russians to give him a leg up in the 2016 election, and that he was virtually certainly aware of at least some (if not all) of their efforts on his behalf.

Heck, I'd imagine we ALL here on DU know that much, at a minimum.

But what he said there ... was not an admission of collusion.
