Newt Gingrich Predicts Kamala Harris Will Face Off Against Trump in 2020

by Joseph A. Wulfsohn | Oct 19th, 2018, 11:19 pm

On Friday night, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich weighed in on potential 2020 candidates. Gingrich began by reacting to speculation that Hillary Clinton isn’t ruling a third run for the presidency, saying it’s a “nightmare” for red state Democrats running for reelection in the upcoming midterms.

He acknowledged how his party has occasionally gone through cycles where they’ve been “terminally insane,” but said Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and her DNA test trying to prove her Native American ancestry is “beyond imagining” and said the timing of it was “terrible.”

Laura Ingraham then asked “what the heck happened” to the Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) who used to be moderate and work with Republicans. “I thought he was pretty interesting,” Ingraham told the panel. “He was more of a Bill Clinton Democrat and then… he’s different now.”

When asked if he thought Booker can united the Democratic Party, Gingrich dismissed the question by pointing to his “Spartacus” moment at the Kavanaugh hearings.

“I personally think it’s gonna be Kamala Harris,” Gingrich told Ingraham. “I’m going to stick with that unless she doesn’t run. I think an African American woman, a former Attorney General from California just has enormous resources and I think she clears the field.”

“And the Obamas- very close with her,” Ingraham added.

That dirty asshole has never been right a day in his life. Nothing against Kamala Harris, who I would vote in a heartbeat, but people need to stop letting filth like Newt Gingrich plant this kind of stuff in their heads.

He's a has-been with zero influence, power, or insider info.

He has a soapbox now only because Faux News seems hellbent on becoming the Branson, MO of politcs by hiring the likes of Gov Huckabee, Newt, and other washed up GOPer pols.

he privately consults with Trump? That his wife is the Ambassador to the Vatican? Please provide us with some links indicating what he thinks or says has no influence on his party.

That makes Newt like co-POTUS, right?

Please share what advice from Newt that POTUS has actually followed.

Trump talks on the phone to tons of people, but at this point in his presidency, he thinks he knows more than anyone... even more about NATO than SECDEF Mattis.

Now it's your turn, instead of mockery and sarcasm, let's see your evidence he's being ignored. I know that evidence will not be forthcoming though.

The only article even suggesting Newt might have influence on 45 is from the conservative Washington Examiner.

If I posted an article from WE, I'd be alerted on. You may as well quote Newt himself on Fox News.

The Politico article says 45 turned to Newt but doesn't say on what issue or that his advice was followed.

FP article  is from 2016, back when 45 was also claiming Chris Christie as an advisor. 45 wasn't even in office yet.

LA Times article doesn't  show 45 followed Newt's advice... he simply told Congress what to do, in an interview with a reporter.

I stand by my original comment. Newt is a nobody.

As far as your request that I prove a negative, you and I both know that's  not possible.

Newt's a douche and who cares what his opinion is. But after watching Harris interrogate Kavanaugh and make him look like a stuttering teenager, I would so love to see her debate mealy mouthed ignorant Trump. She's the toughest potential candidate we've got. Joe's tough of course, but he might play into Trump's tough guy dick contest. Harris is just a badass and while I do want the best candidate male or female, I also think that a woman could respond in a unique way to Trump's misogyny.

Suddenly conservatives think well of Bill Clinton? After treating his entire presidency as illegitimate?
