How many of you have a renewed or reinforced feeling that our government is truly dark and capable of unspeakably evil things? Things that we only accuse other countries of being capable of?
When I first became aware of Jared Kushner, I recoiled in disgust, as I did when I first started to pay attention to Trump. You can sense that something terrible is going on with the both of them, even though we may not know exactly what. You and I do not have to be told that this administration is caressing the sensitive body parts of each and every shady leader on the planet.
Those in the media need to be pushing the panic button. They need to scream at us through the television. This country needs to be told to wake up.
That won't happen of course. Not good for ratings.
Bookmark this thread. I'm not sure when all will become apparent...but it will at some point. I have been consistent in my posts...this country is gaslit to the point of no return.

(46,757 posts)And there is no easy way to correct the damage that is done because there are too many invested in protecting its secrets.
Case in point, the Mueller Report, which will never see the light of day unless there's a white hat or boy scout willing to leak it.

(6,933 posts)Each and every Trump-loving, GOP-enabling, government-exploiting citizen approves of every despicable act. In a two-step, leaders push the envelope of corruption and then followers approve. After a while, the mob responds on its own and leaders do the approval.
Only voting them out can break the viscous cycle.

Remember the royal who was under house arrest in Riyadh when MBS first took over? He was released when he coughed up just the amount of Kushner's debt.
I don't think that was just a coincidence. We have a WH full of grifters with bloody, little hands.

(10,913 posts)MSM has given the GOP a bye on everything. It has all been normalized:
Lies
Racism
Mysogeny
Corruption
Nepotism
Incompetence
Gerrymandering
What makes you think they will suddenly turn around and grow a conscience? It doesn't work that way.

(14,811 posts)But this isn't about conscience, it's about anger. Again, one of their colleagues was murdered & they recognize that tRump was trying to give cover because of financial ties. This ain't going away.

(1,402 posts)I agree 100%. The media could save our country, if they would!! We all know they won't, instead they constantly tell us how 'normal' this administration is, DJT can say and do the sickest things and media just blows it off or minimizes it!!!!! They will not hold this administration accountable. The media could boost their credibility a lot, if they would tell the news honestly. I am amazed how they tell the 'stupidest' things when our country is being attacked. I wonder if a foreign (Russia, SA, China) country holds a lot of their purse strings!! Makes one wonder............. I really appreciate DU. At least here we can hear some of the truth

(2,595 posts)effective news not entertainment news. The airwaves belong to the public and we need to take them back. It should be unlawful, i.e. treasonous to transmit something that is good for the corporation and bad for the country.
