Families are being evacuated from homes in east and central Trinidad as flood waters continue to rise following two days of persistent rainfall.
Homes in Kelly Village, Caroni, were almost covered in water sending families scrambling to the roof.
The Express was told that the flood water began rising at around 1am.
The Greenvale Park Housing Complex was also evacuated overnight. Flood water rose to almost 10 feet covering vehicles.

Think about it - the death toll in the Panhandle is still rising but you aren't hearing a word. 36 people dead to date.
Climate change related flooding is everywhere. We are seeing a Monty's rain in two days.
Take a look at Central Texas.
And it's not only weather related disasters that are not being covered. Last week four people were shot dead at a child's birthday party. There was very little coverage.,

Not to mention the hurricane damage in the Southeast and still affecting Puerto Rico. But we never hear about these events on the news anymore, it's just the current offenses and scandals coming from Trump - there's no time for anything else!
