(33,414 posts)The GOP have demonstrated that they will gladly, fraudulently disenfranchise legitimate voters every where they can.
We need to vote in wave after wave until we have these bastards out of every state office that has any power to distort the vote.
It's whack-a-gop, with courts and elections as our mallets.

(81,570 posts)Report: Trump commission did not find widespread voter fraud
By MARINA VILLENEUVE August 3, 2018
PORTLAND, Maine (AP) The now-disbanded voting integrity commission launched by the Trump administration uncovered no evidence to support claims of widespread voter fraud, according to an analysis of administration documents released Friday.
In a letter to Vice President Mike Pence and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who are both Republicans and led the commission, Maine Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap said the documents show there was a pre-ordained outcome and that drafts of a commission report included a section on evidence of voter fraud that was glaringly empty.
Its calling into the darkness, looking for voter fraud, Dunlap, a Democrat, told The Associated Press. Theres no real evidence of it anywhere.
Republican President Donald Trump convened the commission to investigate the 2016 presidential election after making unsubstantiated claims that between 3 million and 5 million ballots were illegally cast. Critics, including Dunlap, reject his claims of widespread voter fraud.

(4,452 posts)So I'd like tRump to report back and let everyone know exactly how many cases of voter fraud were discovered. The number will of course be very low. It always has been. The only violators that should face civil and criminal penalties are the republicans that participate in voter suppression.

(20,819 posts)what this power-mad tyrannical despot and his minions and authoritarian-besotted lackeys will do when Dems sweep the midterms? I'm not just talking rioting and mayhem, I also mean actually refusing to accept the results and not allowing Dems to take their offices. I wouldn't put it past him, his supporters, or the goddamn Hitler Youth Republicans to do such a thing.

(1,975 posts)Hey Zeus Christ! He must think that "the Democrats" is some sort of boogie monster out to get him or something.
He has completely lost it. I mean, the thought of committing an act of voter fraud crosses my mind during early voting every single second. Does he plan to have some Proud Boys stand guard over voting precincts where he thinks this evil democratic voting fraud is being committed?
For the mentally drained Trump acolyte out there lurking, that last paragraph was satire. Please don't feel the need to turn me into the FBI. I do not think of voter fraud every single second.

(11,885 posts)Voter intimidation, making false claims, and misinformation and redirection all away from his putin and russian issues, and all the upcoming indictments coming soon. Also looks like any election fraud from any of them is being very closely watched , especially in the close races everywhere, and will be held accountable. Also russian and putin money used will all be exposed soon. I wouldn't want to be a republican who took ANY money from putin or his billionaire minions should be scared to death knowing Mueller's coming for them all now. trump is using his power to create voter fraud, what's new. Anyone at that level in our government breaking the law their punishment for it should be the harshest penalties allowed. He also is trying to not talk about his destroying all health care, which he lied about, and giving huge tax refunds for life to the wealthiest people in this country, and now want to destroy Social Security for all seniors. Vote or don't complain.

(1,737 posts)I can't wait to vote for the Dems tomorrow here in Florida. Nobody is going to scare this gal from exercising her right to vote.
Also, as I recall since this ginned up voter fraud issue over the past few years, the handful of reports of voter fraud most were committed by folks voting Republican.
