Tao Te Ching Chapter 18: When people are unsettled, loyal ministers arise.

When the great Way is abandoned,
Benevolence and righteousness arise.
When wisdom and knowledge appear,
Great pretense arises.
When family ties are disturbed,
Devoted children arise.
When people are unsettled,
Loyal ministers arise.

I think this applies very much to our current situation. Anyway, worth a read, imo. Any discussion welcomed.

This philosophy has an unusual effect on me, for some reason it calms me down, just seeing the words or symbols.

I agree that this is applicable to our current situation, I do hope that people are able to channel their anger into an intensified determination to overcome this horrible... situation.

-- not much has changed.

From the I Ching (I believe):

Change is the unchangeable.

and

Times change and with them their demands.

(Where there's life there's hope!)

as careful as if wading through a wintry stream,
alert like people who sense danger all around,
as respectful as guests before their host,
changing like melting ice,
as unpretentious as uncarved wood,
empty like valleys,
and as unexciting as mud puddles
