Turns out, Republican governor candidate Adam Laxalt shouldve disclosed all of his arrests on his initial application to practice law in Nevada.
Thats according to attorneys with the State Bar of Nevada, the public corporation that regulates Nevada attorneys. They say Laxalt, now the states top law enforcement officer, was required to divulge his 1996 juvenile arrest on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
Laxalt last month told the Reno Gazette Journal that he told the bar about a 1997 DUI arrest, but was not required to report the 1996 incident.
Brian Kunzi, the bars director of admissions, disagreed.

(4,533 posts)I proof read a vanity press auto biography maybe 45 years ago written by a wealthy mentally off driver, who wrote about many instances of bribery by his Nevada senator employer. I posted this saying it was Paul Laxalt. I never spoke about this before, many decades ago. But on further reflection I am now sure it was former Senator McCarron, not Laxalt. I did not want anyone who read my original post before I self deleted it to repeat my error. The driver did not have the mental skill to know he was incriminating his employer. I was told the drivers mom basically owned Reno long ago so she could get a job for her son and the son could pay the vanity press.

Awkwardly, young Laxalt is also the illegitimate son of Sen. Pete Domenici, his grandfathers longtime Senate colleague. In fact, it was only last year that Adam Laxalts mother Michelle, a 24-year-old Reagan operative at the time of the affair and now a well-known Washington lobbyist, revealed her sons parentage for the first time, a sensational revelation that almost certainly had the effect of clearing the way for his political career.".....
