Is it swimming in a new area, due to the ocean warming, or has it always been there and this was just the first time filming it there?

Its spotting is probably more likely a factor of the deep sea regions and Antarctica being relatively unexplored, rather than from climate change. Nobody has really looked there up until now, which is true for massive swaths of our oceans.

It looks like half-walking, half-feeding from the bottom. Truly weird.

They all walk around on their tube feet. They usually have a lot more than 10 of them, too. Most sea cucumbers sit on the bottom, but when one gets into the deep sea, one sees all kinds of weird, unexpected things.
