or a "bunch of people"?
or even a "convoy"?
no, the right-wing is really good at branding. part of that is repeating a name and loading it up with whatever narrative or emotional baggage you want to attach to it, then keep repeating that name over and over again.
as usual, they're reducing "democracy" to a well-timed, well-crafted irrelevant advertising blitz.
yeah, let's decide how to govern the entire complex workings of government for the next two years based on manipulated, visceral reactions to the notion that a couple hundred people a few countries away might want to come live in america. oooh, verry scaaary!

(25,270 posts)They linked the two together here. They are piggybacking on what they have felt - that the Kavanaugh hearings and his ultimate confirmation - gave a shot in the arm to the Repugs.
Hence we have 'Caravan and Kavanaugh' being Trump's and the Repugs battle cry for the Midterms. Mostly because their 'tax plan' didn't work for them.
