The dr. thankfully has the tv on HGTV. There was an ad showing men in business suits towering over skyscrapers as puppet masters controlling small men in business suits walking along the sidewalks. An older man sitting near me leaned over to his wife and said, 'That's probably how trump gets all those republicans to follow him.' And they both snickered.
I was happy to hear the snark, especially coming from late 70s, early 80s West Virginians

(3,275 posts)She would play the piano to entertain them. They were in their 70s and 80s. My grandmother lived on her own and was in good health until the day she died at 95.

(14,577 posts)isn't going to help the Republicans with retirees. I'm several years away from retirement, and I wouldn't dream of voting R. Not by any means. Not after paying into SS and M full-boat, paycheck after paycheck for over 40 years. No...that money WILL be there when I get there.
That's why so many are awakening. Trump has tried to suck the decency right out of this country. He has. And millions have followed him like a bunch of sheep.
But if we stick by our guns and call them on it, resist, vote and get active, the nationalists won't win. It depends on all of us, though.
