It's been pretty much an oil industry fiefdom for years.

They've installed their pet GOPpies to do their bidding while ignoring the colonias, the oil field workers living in trailers and shacks because there's no adequate housing (and what there is price gouges the workers), and polluting the crap out of southeastern NM.

Xochitl will actually work to make things better for people who live there.
