The details: The mailers inaccurately said voters should submit their ballots by November 6 (Election Day,) but the actual deadline is November 5. Under state law, ballots that missed the deadline are disqualified. Based on the complaints he received, Democratic candidate Perry Gershon alleged that college-age and minority voters were targeted. Zeldins campaign reportedly said it was an error caused by the printer. Newsday reports that the campaign had also listed the wrong date in 2016.

(5,164 posts)I have never gone to any of these things due to health issues. And to be honest other than voting and donating I havent been involved politically much. Except for making hundreds of calls for Hillary. But I may try to get to something for Gershon. Sounds like I was better off missing it😳😹

(19,862 posts)postmarked on November 6th should be counted since that is the info his office distributed. Final vote tallies should not be published until ballots postmarked on 6 Nov are received and counted.

(16,189 posts)One does not make that mistake twice. It was on purpose. If it was truly a mistake, seems some other kids of voters/demographic might have been affected. And yet, somehow, these things always seem to hurt certain groups likely to vote Democratic.

(18 posts)These motherfuckers know exactly what they are doing. Shave a little off here, a little off there and maybe they end up with an extra thousand votes that stayed home when they should have been out kicking your ass.
And if you ever get caught, like being a Catholic, all they have to do is say "Ooopsies ! DI I do that ? Ain't I a stinker ?! Mea culpa !"
"Errors" like this should ALWAYS be presumed to be a conscious vote suppression effort on behalf of the party concerned unless proven otherwise.
The fuckers pull this shit because it WORKS !
