Suspected pipe bombs have been sent to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and CNN days after top Democrat donor George Soros was also sent a similar device.

The Time Warner Center in New York, which is home to CNN, was evacuated after a device with a pipe and wires was discovered reportedly addressed to former CIA director John Brennan.

New York Police issued a warning to people near the building urging them to 'shelter in place' as bomb teams dealt with the device as sniffer dogs were seen going into the underground car park.

Police were also investigating a suspicious package sent to the Sunrise officers of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, reports claimed.
