Neo-Nazi gang leader who fled country arrested by FBI

Robert Rundo, the leader of the California white supremacist group Rise Above Movement, was arrested by the FBI Sunday at the Los Angeles International Airport.

Rundo, 28, is accused of inciting riots at demonstrations including Charlottesville, San Bernandino and Berkeley, according to the New York Times.

The FBI also cited the Rise Above Movement Twitter account, run by Rundo, which “regularly posted content in support of the group’s white supremacy extremist ideology,” including photographs endorsing violence against nonbelievers.

In the spring, Rundo and several other gang members visited Germany, Ukraine and Italy to celebrate Adolf Hitler’s birthday and meet with European white supremacist groups, according the Customs and Border Protection officers.
