Trump is inviting his boss over for a consult. Putin hasn't siad whether he will come or not.
Trump is desperate to get the MAGAbomber off the news cycle.
The Caravan scare is not working.
This is the guy that invented the double double double down, so he invites Putin knowing that everyone will start screaming about that because he really doesn't want the news media to be talking about how people leave his rally and start bombing people or that his best friends in the middle east are dismembering and torturing people while they are on the phone with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
So he literally goes back and gets the whole Russian collusion thing back on the front page because everything else is so much worse.
“The Trump administration has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin for a visit to Washington in early 2019,” USA Today reports.
“The invitation was announced Friday by National Security Advisor John Bolton during a news conference in Tbilisi, Georgia, just days after meeting with Putin and other Kremlin officials in Moscow to discuss the U.S. withdrawing from a Cold-War era nuclear weapons treaty.”
I just don't see this as a winning closing argument before the midterms.
