After Trump won I cried for 2 weeks nonstop..We were told the Midterms...2 whole years away...

After Trump won I cried for 2 weeks nonstop...and I am not a crier...then I got myself under control and happened to see a DEM at the gym I hadn't seen..and it started all over again....

We were told the Midterms....which seemed a million years away. How the hell could we wait 2 whole years...and we hadn't even a clue THEN what all he would be capable of doing. And do.

Now it is 9 teeny tiny days away....Midterms are here....I know I will stay up all nite Nov 6th. Almost like waiting to hear if you have cancer....there is no sleep the nite before...try as you might to divert your thoughts....your mind ONLY goes there..

In solidarity, my good DUers...and they had better not knock us offline again...

Get through the next six days, turn your attention to 2020, and we'll be almost there!

And I say that having had the same basic reaction to Election Day 2016.

Hang in there!

I had suicidal thoughts, because I feared he would destroy my medicare and SSI. Well guess what? I don't feel that way anymore. I feel determined to not let his hate and vulgarity pollute my mind with fear, hatred, and anger. I am better than that, and so are you.

One of the 6 perfections of a boddhisattva is enthusiastic perseverance. So I am determined to maintain a cheerful attitude, help pacify the anxiety and depression of those around me. And work to stay focused on electing Dems - now, tomorrow, and forever.

I could all use a little encouragement and inspiration. How about you?

I've joined recently for just that purpose. No war is won with just one battle.
Like it or not those of us woke folk must keep up the fight. For me it is to stop consuming. Live small.

BTW, I've heard 6 times this morning that PA shooter is not a MAGAT based on one statement. Keep digging.

When I woke the next morning I stumbled directly to the TV to see.
I howled and cursed and cried. It was an AWFUL morning, and day, and two years!
This fucking sucks daily and I am ready for CHANGE!

In solidarity!

...in 2017. Couldn't handle it at all.

I only started watching again once the scandals started breaking.

As you say, we're nine days away, let's hope it goes the way we've been working to accomplish for more than a year.

Hurtful and immensely offensive.

I kept asking my husband if Hillary had won, and wondering why it was taking so long to declare her the winner.
Then I was in complete shock. I was numb. How could this happen?

To make matters worse, we had to fly to Palm Beach the next day to attend a wedding in the area where trump has his home.
I felt sick every time I had to pass it.

I did not enjoy that wedding!
