She, in particular, should be doing so; she has a lot to answer for, as you well know, but I'm not going to engage on for the millionth time.

If she hadn't been so "helpful" maybe Al Franken would still be a Senator.

And she has been going across the country rallying Democrats, campaigning for Democratic candidate, raising money, and encouraging Democrats to vote.

any praise or accolades. She gets our Senatorial support as A Democrat--like all the others. Period. No more than that.

She has been a great champion of many progressive causes and has voted and spoken out against Trump and his agenda consistently.

is fully exposed. Nothing requires sycophantic support for her future ambitions against other capable and loyal Democrats who have NOT lead the charge to force the ouster of one of our most effective voices.

In medicine, Hippocrates maintained "first do no harm"--and certainly not for self aggrandizement. Gillibrand clearly never learned nor took such a message to heart and the harm was widespread to our party and our future.

While it is true that people generally have short memories and she might earn back at least some lost trust, it is also true that major harm IS remembered--well into the future.

Nothing she does makes up for her unforgivable kneecapping of a senator who was more effective than she will ever be. If she runs in 2020 I will do everything in my power to oppose her in the primaries. And that's all I have to say about her.

Her voting record is the most anti-Trump in the entire Senate.

That's hardly a adequate consolation for all that we've lost with Franken being railroaded out, in my opinion. And I have little doubt that there are many who will take issue with the accuracy or deservedness of the boastful adjectives used in the excessive flattery of her. All I'm trying to say is that such extreme and glowing praise can often be interpreted as being sarcastic or facetious, or driven by other motives other than genuine sincerity and the intent can be easily construed in ways that call attention to the flatterer in a less than positive manner.

Having said that, I'm glad she's speaking the right sentiments (nowadays), but her past as a blue dog Democrat in NYS will always raise some doubts about her sincerity.

Protecting Dreamers is a moral imperative. I will not vote for a spending bill that doesn’t treat Dreamers fairly.

Gillibrand: "Congress must take gun violence as seriously as the threat of terrorism"

She's been fighting the good fight and has been on the right side of both issues for a while now.
