a judicial position because of his proven grave, corrupt misuse of power as Alabama'a AG.

They've since become totally corrupt, and of COURSE they'll stab each other in the back -- if hanging together doesn't seem safer.

And, seriously, even if these swamp creatures did somehow "respect" him, instead of just treat colleagues with faux gentlemanly courtesy, they'd have to be people of honor and probity for their respect to be anything but some kind of fellowship from one scumbag to another, right?
