If we take the House, even Putin will have to go into "use it or lose it" mode with Trump. The extremists likewise see this as their last chance to stoke the revolution. They imagine a rise of the silent majority of bigots they believe exist.

I suppose it's possible that these sickos thought their attacks would help "energize the base" to fight off the "blue wave" they kept hearing about that could hurt their Strongman in Chief.

Unless you're buying into a conspiracy theory that the Republican Party was actively behind either attack), these are individuals who aren't engaged in political activity, and none of the targets were related to the 2018 Election cycle.

the MagaBomber is a red hatter and was at a rally. The anti-semitic shooter was involved politically online...in one of those hate social sites. So they're both involved and aware, politically.

But I was wondering if it was coincidence that it looks like the Repubs are going to lose the House to the Dems, so their total power would be over...and it's then that these two rightwingnuts decide to pull their life long goals of killing liberals and Jews.

Maybe it was coincidence. But I was also wondering if it was like a hissy fit.

I think it's just awful people doing awful things. Could happen at any time.
