Never have I seen such confusion in a Presidential campaign

Even ReTHUGs are tearing them a new one.

They must really be planning to steal this because otherwise they are fucking toast.

One of the Dem pacs needs to get ugly with a simple line:
Stop the lies and submit your tax returns.

look how they were protesting Obamacare two years ago. Now they are supporting Romney. How can they make sense out of that?

I would also like to see Mitt's alternative to Ryan's budget -- and PRIOR to election day.

The Ryan pick is a Hail Mary pass meant to appeal to the few remaining American who bother to balance their checkbooks and live within their means.
After this election the demographics of this country change so dramatically there will never again be an American who sits at his kitchen table, thinking about his own bills, reading the papers while rubbing his head thinking "how the hell are the clowns in Washington ever going to dig us out of the mess they've gotten us into?"

That kind of American, that kind of American, is gone, finished, done in 4 years. Replaced by the gimme-gimme entitlement moochers. Lights out. Good-night Irene.

Well, no duh. After Obama and the Democrats have repaired the damage Dubya and the GOP left behind...there won't be anyone asking that anymore, indeed.

Everything about the post, except for the "gimme-gimme entitlement moochers" drivel, is quite right.

they are some of the rare responsible ones left in America who pay their bills and live within their means. I don't know why they believe this to be true, or what they mean by "living within their means". If you've ever had a mortgage or a car payment or a student loan, you obviously didn't live within your means. It's some kind of weird sense of smug superiority.

after I read his advisers said "This was Mitt's pick", trying to distance themselves.

Surely they warned him that if he picked Ryan, the focus would be on medicare. Surely. It wouldn't
take a rocket scientist to figure that out. It wasn't that long ago that Ryan and his plan received
national panning. Surely they didn't think all that uproar would go away? Tweety called it too and said,
the addition of Ryan is forcing them to have to defend their weakness - slashing good programs for real
people. Pointing the focus to their weakness.

And, now, they are spending all their time trying to clarify and differentiate Ryan's plan from Romney's plan.
In this one? Not not that one, my plan. No, not his plan....blah blah blah.

I know everyone praised the pick....but I see NO value in adding Ryan. If Romney wanted the assistance of
his governmental background to round out his team, that's fine. But, that's his deal, it has nothing to do
with whether all the people would like him or not.

Would love to have been a fly on the wall during the discussions. Bet stubborn, anal retentive Romney
just said my way or highway.

Is the one taking place now. I even made that comment to my husband this morning that I can only imagine the conversations taking place in the back rooms now that the reality of putting Ryan on the ticket is turning out to be a turd in the punch bowl for them. Can you even fathom what they must be thinking and how they are scrambling to try to rein in this mess?

Anyone see Reince Preibus on Morning Joe? I almost spit my coffee out watching him sputter and attempt to get out his talking points. It was utter fail. He brought on a huge hunk of Wisconsin cheese and they spent a few minutes talking about THAT. Then when they got down to talking issues he crawfished away and as he was lamely trying to get to his talking points Joe bailed him out by saying, "Let me interrupt you...." to ask another question about the CHEESE! I thought I'd die laughing. It was the most pathetic performance I've ever seen and the most obvious bail out I've EVER seen Joe do. It was clear he was throwing him a rope.
