The highest gas prices are in the West, especially the west coast from Washington state down to California. Here in Central Washington where I live. The prices have been going up even though oil prices have been going down since the first of October. In my town it's now up to $3.55 for regular as of last Friday when they went up about .09cents.

But after Labor Day prices usually start dropping not raising. When oil prices have dropped around $10.00 a barrel since the first of the month, gas price should not be going up. California is always higher than we have been, usually by ab out .10 cents per gallon, now we are pretty much the same.

Not that many on the left coast, iirc.

Edited: my car takes premium; I live in Oregon and feel the pain.

about 35 miles inland from BP Cherry Point refinery. Another refinery in Anacortes less than 50 miles away.

… state taxes in the west. Part of it is cleaner processing... we used to have a visible brown layer of "smog" thru the 1980s. I don't see the smog anymore. I like that.

is close to 2.50/gal for regular.

I thought it had to do with the mid terms and trying to keep the base from knowing they are being screwed.

in Montana, not far from all the refineries and Wyoming, it's $3.94/gal for the cheap shit. Premium went up $.50/gal (from$3.34 to $3.84) last week. My car requires premium, glad I get super mileage and don't have to travel much.
