Help me out here (making sense of the Wohl plot)

Last edited Wed Oct 31, 2018, 01:15 PM - Edit history (1)

The catastrophic stupidity of this has left me with a lot of questions.

1. Was Burkman actually offering $10K for fake stories?

2. Was somebody else?

3. Was Wohl trying to smear Mueller or was this an O'Keefe-style thing to embarrass the media?

4. Who gave that moron a hedge fund to run?

1. It's probably three or four channels removed from the Trump campaign?

It looks like a final, desperate lunge at trying to kill the Mueller investigation?

Or was this solely a republican scumbag operation to further undermine American justice and American democracy?

At first I believed it was Wohl trying to take down Mueller...

But then it seemed as though he was trying to play the media since the "first" woman didn't seem to be real...

THEN a real women came out and said she got the offer e-mail and that was corroborated by multiple sources... This woman has never met Mueller so even if she took up the offer, wouldn't that be easy to prove?

What was this really? I can't wrap my head around the amount of stupidity this took.

1. He may have had money to pay but he was probably gonna find a way not to pay.

2. I would not be surprised.

3. Wohl and Burkman were in on this scam together. They probably thought they could take down Mueller and #MeToo and the Media.

4. His father is a lawyer, of whom I know nothing but I bet he's got money and connections.

7. It could have worked several ways

A-the media could have fallen for a fake story from the non-existant woman and looked dumb.

B-they could have gotten someone(s) to accuse Mueller of sexual harassment and tarnished him.

C-they could have found some actual dirt on Mueller and used that to destroy the investigation.

HOWEVER--they made the Keystone Kops look like pros and tried to have it several different ways at once, thus the whole thing blew up in their faces. Also, they never expected the mess to be turned over to the FBI and now they are so screwed. (Who goes to the FBI? They sure wouldn't, so why would they expect Mueller to do so? Crooks assume everyone else is a crook and can't imagine how honest people think)

8. Snopes has quite a good summary:

One issue it doesn't mention is that the St. Regis Hotel's 19th floor where the assault is alleged to have taken place is apparently a gym, not residential, but you know, details.

But the story's still developing, twists and turns and all - look forward to the Holiday Inn press conference on Thursday, which Burkman claims is still going ahead!

They undoubtedly had a lot of research on these characters already on file.

It'll be interesting if that conference takes place in the form claimed -- he's in criminal territory now.
