Elementary students can be ... um ... not the brightest.

Hoping that's all this is, fingers crossed ...

Yesterday, a student was killed at a high school near Charlotte over a conflict. One kid shot another, and then went on to his classroom where he was later arrested. The kid he shot died in the hospital. I only know about it becuse a friend whose daughter attends the school got a text message from her daughter saying that she was okay and no one else was hurt. Every parent’s nightmare, but just the new normal in the good ole USA where gun ownership is more valued than people’s lives.

of when airliners and cruise ships were being hijacked it seemed like almost every week. We didn't know when or if those would stop then either.

These things come in waves. If this dangerous wave, which is dominated by conservative centimillionaires and billionaires harnessing authoritarian nationalism and populism as a weapon, doesn't destroy our nation, we'll look back and realize at some point it became the past.
