Obama's LeBolt Fires Back: "Romney's Unhinged"

___ After Mitt Romney put Barack Obama on blast in a speech in Chilicothe, Ohio, on Tuesday—saying that the president had resorted to “diversions and distractions,” is “taking things to a new low,” and is running a campaign of “hate”—an Obama campaign staffer is firing back. “Governor Romney’s comments tonight seemed unhinged, and particularly strange coming at a time when he’s pouring tens of millions of dollars into negative ads that are demonstrably false,” campaign press secretary Ben LaBolt said in a statement.

1. I'm not sure why the Romney campaign thinks these kinds of attacks against Obama will work.

Fox News and the right wing noise machine have been smearing Obama 24/7/365, and Obama remains very popular.

Its going to push moderates away.

It was about welfare. There was some unintelligible nonsense about welfare changes and then a large 'WELFARE' icon on the screen, followed by a large 'Romney' icon. It was the most bewildering ad I think I've seen so far. If it struck even a spark of interest in more than a handful of FOX faithful, I'd be shocked. It's almost unbelievable how base and dumb this Romney campaign is. That's been the trend of republican politics, though. I wonder if this is all they have? I know stupid is hard to fight because the arguments and accusations are as fluid as an addled mind, but I have to believe these Romney folks are far afield from where the majority of us live and breathe.

things down, but yet unable to actually stop the recovery, they've got nothing.

I think their party is in total decline.

5. Romney hates America so much he doesn't want to pay anything to contribute to it

Romney feels that any tax is too much to pay. That's what he thinks America is worth.
His only reason for running for office is to cut his own taxes so much that America will never get a dime from him ever again.
The only country Romney has loyalty to is his country club. It's all about his bank balance. Patriotism is for chumps as far as he's concerned.
