Our elected officials need to be willing to be blunt about that. Just say it like it is. We aren't dealing with people who simply have a different take on the role of government or tax rates. We're dealing with an epidemic of racist, sexist ignoramuses. We need to emphasize education reform. Make civics, anti-racism, anti-sexism and media literacy mandatory curriculum in every school.

The trumpers I know call it "government indoctrination". If they can eliminate public education, they can ensure they have enough ignorant, hate-filled voters to keep them in power to do more damage to those who do not vote for them.
