First order of business--fix voting proceedures

National simplification of voter registration needs be enacted.
Voting must not take place on just one day, it needs to be spread out for equal participation. Mail in ballots work fine.
Our votes must be counted as accurately as our money is counted. That means we could vote by PC or phone, just like we spend money.
If they can keep track of each and every cent spent each and everyday, they can certainly guarantee an accurate count.
Election Day needs to be a holiday.

non partisan GRID slapped over the USA map..let the chips fall where they may.

No more gerrymandered districts.. It should be strictly evenly divided by population..No more carve-outs for special politicians

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

and we need a national PAPER (cardstock 5 x 7 cards would suffice) BALLOT for all offices that result in Washington DC service..

No ballot would ever require more than THREE choices. easy to count/easy to RECOUNT, and impossible to hack.

States can design their own ballots for state/local officials and propositions

Another helpful thing would be to require double digit polling to even appear on the fall ballot.

3rd parties are just an obstructionist vote...why not just have "none of the above" as a valid vote...

Voting needs to be easy and as foolproof as possible. Other free democratic nations do it.

The way we do it now is insane.

Voting by PC or phone is no more secure than voting by current electronic voting machines.

Unless you can see electron flow, and know exactly how every part of your phone interacts with those electrons, and know how every abstraction within the firmware and software work, and can guarantee that nothing else can change any data or device within the phone without your knowledge, and can verify where the signal goes, and can verify what happens to the firmware and software that receives that signal, and can verify they cannot be changed, so that your vote arrives and is processed exactly as you intended, then no electronic device should be used for voting.

Contrast with paper:
You see how you marked it.
Your neighbors see you place it in a secure box.
You and your neighbors can verify the box remains secure until counting.
You and your neighbors can verify the count.
