Appearing on Fox & Friends, Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump, blasted Obama seizing on to a suggestion from Fox News host Brian Kilmeade that Obama has a personal problem with the man who followed him in office.
He does have a personal problem, Eric Trump said. He is taking credit for a lot of my fathers accomplishments.
Eric Trump went on to claim that Obama and other Democrats are campaigning on style.
They cant talk about quantifiable things, things that you can statistically measure, he said. But they will talk about style all the time. So if you cant win on true accomplishments, things you can quantify, lets just talk about style all day.
The presidents son went on to tear into Obama over health care.
Its a system they broke, Eric Trump said. He added, Theyre running on health care which is a system Obama broke.

(9,350 posts)Donald Trump is taking credit for a lot of Barack Obama's accomplishments. Since Eric Trump wants "quantifiable" "accomplishments" he can look at these numbers. In 2009, when Barack Obama took over as President this country was losing hundreds of thousands of jobs a month. When President Obama left office in 2016, this country was adding 100,000-200,00 jobs per month. When Barack Obama became President in 2009 the country was in the mists of an economic meltdown. By the time President Obama left office the economy was stable and growing. When Barack Obama took over as President the unemployment rate was 7.6%. When President Obama left office in 2016, the unemployment rate had gone down to at least 5%. More than 9 million jobs were created under President Obama's watch.
President Obama and the Democrats did not break the health care system. When Barack Obama became President there were around 47 million uninsured Americans. By the time President Obama left office that number had been reduced by at least 15 million. It could be argued that if Republicans had cooperated with President Obama and expanded Medicare that number would have been higher.
Also, Donald Trump (surprise, surprise) lied about the level of crime in America. In reality, according to factcheck.org, violent crime was down 16% and homicides were down 13%. So, Trump's claim that America was a crime ravished no man's land was wrong.
Donald Trump and Republicans (surprise, surprise) lied about the state of the private sector under President Obama. By the end of President Obama's term corporate profits were up 166%. The S&P 500 was up 139%. Job openings were up 97% and the long term unemployed was down 614,000. Real earnings were up 3.4%. U.S. Crude production was up 87% while oil imports were down 62%. Finally, exports were up 31%.

(6,933 posts)To put it in general terms Obama walked into a SHIT mess the likes of what FDR inherited. The ONLY thing that kept it from being as large as a Hoover disaster is the safety nets that FDR and Dems put in place starting in 1933.

(42,862 posts)... because SHOUTING is the equivalent of using boldface and all caps, a common tactic that's easily ignored and often ineffective.
On the other hand, being understated is the equivalent of using italics. It's something that draws attention and provokes thought without being overbearing and demanding.

(24,051 posts)...the time, no matter what a parent or patient says, I often fantasize about coming back in my next life as a restaurant or movie critic, so I could be free to says something like, That really sucked, and get paid for doing so. Could be fun.
That, or be someone who watches kittens and puppies play with new toy designs to see which ones they like. Some people obviously have that delightful job. I cant imagine ever having a bad day at work if that were your job.
