In an interview scheduled to be broadcast Thursday evening on NBCs Rock Center, Ann Romney, the wife of the Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, found herself facing some of the same questions that have dogged her husbands campaign in recent weeks namely, about the Romney familys tax returns.
Theres nothing were hiding, Mrs. Romney told Natalie Morales, a correspondent for the show.
In a video clip released in advance of the show, Ms. Morales broached the subject of the Romneys finances and tax returns by acknowledging that its not a question thats welcome, before asking, Why not be transparent?
Have you seen how were attacked? Mrs. Romney said, leaning forward in her chair. Have you seen whats happened?

(2,921 posts)unless it has Willard "Mittwit" Romney's name on it. Then you'll have to release all of it, the ones starting when you were 16 and working in a soda shop somewhere.

(17,162 posts)While pushing to keep the tax cuts you and your ilk enjoy-
you are suggesting the rest of us should pay for your luxury.
You tout the "trickle down" drivel while you hide your money offshore-
returning nothing to the US economy.
Just how stupid do you think we are, Ann?
We know that YOU know if your tax returns were made public,
the people might just storm your castle.
And rightly so.
