Maybe run for office like McBath did.

And not have a happy ending after all.

(5,815 posts)4. This just demonstrates how screwed up things are in the U.S.
A person survived what should have been a once in a thousand life times event a mass shooting in Las Vegas.
Then in the most ironic twist of fate, succumbed to gunshot injuries in another once in a thousand lifetimes event the shooting in Thousand Oaks, California.
This should never have happened, yet it did. We are truly screwed up and the people who could help reduce the carnage, who could at least address the problem are asleep at the wheel. They hear the cries of the people, they see their own members become victims of gun violence and yet they do nothing. History will not be kind to these fools and they will deserve every unkind assessment placed on them and their role in the dissolution of the US as we have known it.

(36,900 posts)5. Well stated, Grammy23.
The insanity of it all. I remember thinking to myself after Sandy Hook, "surely something is going to come out of this regarding gun control." Nope. Instead we had thoughts, prayers and crazy-ass crisis actor theories.
This is just too much. So many senseless deaths.
