46 percent of Mississppi Republicans want to make interracial marriage illegal

This makes me so angry because even though I live in Ohio I can't believe (yes I can lol.) people think like this and its so many people. I'm African American and 25 percent Swiss (my g-mama is from Switzerland) and my girlfriend is white. Were both engineering students in college and the only reason someone wouldn't want us to marry is because of our skin color. So they would prefer a white guy who would be a high school drop out and no job and nothing going for him over me who has alot going on in the future and is in college.

The real number is likely higher.

In the privacy of the voting booth people are free to vote their prejudices with anonymity.

Inquiring minds want to know....

Polls are only valid if they are conducted with integrity.

You can ask a question two different ways and get to different results..

For example....

(1) Do you believe that two persons of the opposite sex, but of different races, cultural backgrounds, historical records, etc. whose union is likely to result in offspring that rape, pillage and plunder the rest of us should be allowed to marry? OR

(2) Should two persons of different races or ethnic backgrounds, bound by the commitments and benefits of marriage, should be allowed to marry?

You are going to get different results. That's why I hate polling data. I hang up when a pollster calls me because either I end up arguing with or questioning the pollster or refuse to answer the questions as presented.
