They had 3 candidates running. None received a majority of the votes.

There will be a runoff between the top 2.

We ain’t winning this one.

Mississippi law says you have to get 50% or more to win and nobody got over 50% in the elections so they will have a runoff election between the top 2 vote getters. Most states do not have that requirement.

There are 44 democrats, 2 independents who caucus with democrats, 51 republicans and three undecided races — Florida, Arizona and Mississippi (which has a runoff).
