the ridiculous drama surrounding the appointment of Roland Burris to then-President-elect Obama's Senate seat, by Blago (Ill. Governor Rod Blagojevich ) and Senate Democratic leadership refusing to seat him? After an Illinois state court case that went all the way up to the state Supreme Court and much debate among the Democrats in the Senate, he was finally considered "certified" and was seated. Meanwhile Blago still sits in prison and won't be eligible for early release until 2024.

I posted here that, again, we see a black man denied entrance and got a lot of flack, don't even know why.

They are trying to pretend the recounts are unusual and unfair but they know it's not the case.

Just to show his power. It's a different ballgame now and he is up for reelection in 2020.

And the repugs want those votes to help get rid of 45.

In AZ the Republican will soon be a Senator anyway. John Kyl who was the fill in for McCain will resign and Gov. Ducey will appoint McSalley to take his place. That will give her incumbency in the run up to the 2020 election when that seat goes for re-election.

If Nelson comes from behind and wins in the recount, no doubt they don't seat him.

Except when there is a constitutional objection to eligibility, such as age or residency requirements. So no, I don’t think this will happen.
