There doesn't seem to be low he won't stoop to. What do you think?

(129,067 posts)the ridiculous drama surrounding the appointment of Roland Burris to then-President-elect Obama's Senate seat, by Blago (Ill. Governor Rod Blagojevich ) and Senate Democratic leadership refusing to seat him? After an Illinois state court case that went all the way up to the state Supreme Court and much debate among the Democrats in the Senate, he was finally considered "certified" and was seated. Meanwhile Blago still sits in prison and won't be eligible for early release until 2024.

And the repugs want those votes to help get rid of 45.

(32,017 posts)In AZ the Republican will soon be a Senator anyway. John Kyl who was the fill in for McCain will resign and Gov. Ducey will appoint McSalley to take his place. That will give her incumbency in the run up to the 2020 election when that seat goes for re-election.

(15,423 posts)If Nelson comes from behind and wins in the recount, no doubt they don't seat him.
