There will always be racists. But I think maybe fewer. Look at my father. He had five kids with my mother...although I'm the only liberal, none of us are racist like him. He wasn't around much, so maybe that's it. It also has a counter-effect when you're around someone when you're young, who is hateful, mean, and negative. It sends you in the opposite direction sometimes.

People think I'm liberal because I'm the only one who moved away to "the big city" outside the south. But that's not true. I was always this way. I remember being sad about segregation and the plight of blacks when I was about 10 years old. That's kinda strange for a kid in the deep south. I'm old enough that I lived my youth in a segregated society. (My mother noticed, apparently. She told me when I grew up that she was worried I'd marry a black man. LOL.)

He doesn't live there, so it didn't mean much to him, one way or the other. As for the AZ candidate, he told ME that she was lesbian (he didn't say bi-sexual); I didn't know. He's totally okay with everyone having equal opportunities and winning elections, no matter what.
