http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57493936-503544/gallup-no-immediate-bounce-for-romney-after-ryan-vp-pick/"According to that poll, 39 percent of Americans said they thought Ryan was either "excellent" or "pretty good" as a VP choice, while 42 percent called the choice "only fair" or "poor." Nineteen percent expressed no opinion.
By contrast, 46 percent of voters called Sarah Palin an "excellent" or "pretty good" choice in 2008, and 46 percent said the same of Biden. Compared to recent vice presidential candidates, only Dan Quayle has scored higher than Ryan among those who believed him to be an "only fair" or "poor" VP pick."
In other words, he does not even have a Sarah Palin level of buzz

If Rmoney and the GOP had brains at all, they'd be picking a running-mate that appealed to the independents and moderates. Ryan ain't that guy - Rmoney felt he had to shore up his base, which means keep your ready.
Us left wingers are already crossing ourselves, producing crucifixes and garlic, and it won't take long for the moderates and independents to figure out what a douche Ryan is. Once they do, Rmoney's campaign will be right back to swirling down the toilet bowl.
