Trump is also blowing off Macron's Peace Forum tomorrow.

The biggest event will be the one at the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Elysees in Paris on Sunday which will be attended by up to 70 world leaders including US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

On Saturday afternoon Macron will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel at Rethondes in the Compiegne Forest to the north of Paris where the Armistice was signed.

Sunday's ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on the Champs-Elysees avenue will take place at 11 am -- marking the time when the guns finally fell silent after four years of bloody trench warfare in France and Belgium. Macron will deliver a speech in front of world leaders.

Many of the invitees, including Putin, Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Germany's Angela Merkel, are then expected to attend the opening of the inaugural Paris Peace Forum at La Villette in the 19th arrondissement, which French President Emmanuel Macron will host. Although Trump won't be there.

Ending uncertainty about whether the US leader would participate, chief organiser Justin Vaisse confirmed to AFP on Thursday that Trump would not attend.

Earlier this week, Vaisse had played down the importance of his presence (at the Peace Forum) -- while explaining why Trump might not have found the agenda to his liking.

"The aim of the forum is to show that there are lots of forces in the international system -- states, NGOs, Foundations, intellectuals, companies -- who believe we need a world of rules, an open world and a multilateral world," he said.

"This world needs to meet up and defend itself," he said. "It doesn't matter if those who don't believe in multilateralism aren't there."

On Air Force One he only has to deal with a dozen, or so...those in the press pool.

He could also have made the trip to discuss with Putin the possibility of political asylum after he is indicted.

Probably to meet Pootin (sp). Probably, to me, means a 90-10 chance he went for a private meeting with his handler.

He cares nothing about this country. Our country and his father gave him an opportunity and he is now telling us to stick it.

Keep in mind, he started meeting with the paruskies in the mid 80s.

Trump went to Paris thinking there would be a big military parade complete with tanks and jets roaring overhead. When he discovered the observance focused on peace and sacrifice, he ditched it.

Of course, the fact that Putin is there with a bevy of Russian ho's may have something to do with it.

What does t-Rump know about peace, war and diplomacy ? only what he sees on Fox news or hears from his Nazi friends ....so he can contribute nothing and would likely be embarrassed at some point when a group of seasoned, intelligent, knowledgable leaders discuss world affairs. If he doesn't go, no embarrassing moment, and he can stay in his belligerent foxy bubble and complain about how stupid they are on Twitter. Choice is clear.
