https://www.redding.com/story/news/local/2018/11/09/camp-fire-how-you-can-help-victims/1942862002/Donations of toiletries and underwear are being accepted at the Chico Elks Lodge, 1705 Manzanita Avenue, and at Cathy's Sew and Vac, 2418 Cohasset Road in Chico.
AT&T and the American Red Cross are partnering to help, but it wasn't immediately clear whether donations could specifically go to Camp Fire aid. You can choose to donate to "California Wildfires" or other causes at https://rdcrss.org/2OB0WIy, or by texting "CAWILDFIRES" to 90999.
The United Way of Northern California has set up a relief fund for victims. Go to https://bit.ly/2OzNUer to donate, or by texting "BUTTEFIRE" to 91999. The fund will provide emergency cash to victims and also aid the United Way in its response to the fire. Businesses and organizations interested in helping contribute to the fund can call Jacob Peterson at 530-241-7521 or 916-218-5424. You can also email him at jpeterson@norcalunitedway.org.
Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding is taking donations today until around 3 p.m., when they plan to take them down to Butte County. They need blankets, pillows, warm clothing, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, wash cloths, socks, underwear, brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, air mattresses and gift cards for food. The hospital is at 1100 Butte Street downtown.
The North Valley Community Foundation is accepting financial donations to help fund services for victims. To donate, go to https://bit.ly/2T1cZT1
The Salvation Army is also taking financial donations. There are a few ways you can donate: Go to gosalarmy.org or call 1-800-SAL-ARMY (1-800-725-2769). You can also mail donations to: The Salvation Army , PO Box 348000, Sacramento, CA 95834. Make sure to specify that you want your donation to go to Camp Fire aid.
If you'd like to be on standby to help out at one of the shelters, fill out an application at: https://bit.ly/2JXTbfb. Go to the same website if you're a notary who can volunteer to notarize victims' applications for services.
Some of the shelters themselves also are taking donations, but the things you donate through the Red Cross need to be brand new. Drop items off at Bidwell Presbyterian Church, 201 W. 1st St. in Chico. Their list of items needed includes: Clothing, bedding, toiletries, water bottles, batteries, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, non-perishable food and first-aid items.
Used and new bedding is being accepted at the Dorothy Johnson Center, 775 East 16th St. in Chico, where some families of children with special needs are staying.
Pedro GTP Relief, a nonprofit started after the Carr fire, has a 10,000-square-foot building at 1322 Butte St. in Redding that has supplies for victims, including clothing, toiletries, water, canned food, non-perishables, furniture and bedding. Call 530-777-0002 or go to www.pedrogtprelief.com.
If you have a home you're willing to list for evacuees free through Airbnb, go to: https://bit.ly/2z0KH2t.

This is being streamed by an ex firefighter and is full of information about the fire, shelters, places to volunteer or donate, evacuation routes and so on.
And he is doing all this on donations for 4g as he lives on a boat!

(494 posts)4. Watch it for 15-20 minutes or so,
This dude has been up for the better part of 3 days, he's a bit cranky, maybe a bit of a Trumper but he doesn't allow politics in his channel and he's doing this just to help.
People have already thanked him for making their evacuation plans and letting them know when It's time to go.
