Im ugly crying, said Deanna Rayment on Facebook.
Met him a few weeks ago, amazing man and his love of dogs has my vote, said Joanne Campagna.
The Bidens are known to be animal lovers. Biden adopted a 9-month-old lab mix named Peggy in 2014. The dog had been abandoned in Mississippi, according to USA TODAY.

(2,276 posts)Its better he doesnt have pets, it would be torture for the animal (although it would be fun to see Trump with scratches and bite marks all over his body).

(20,586 posts)My neighbor's cat hung out in my yard all summer. They said - don't let her in the house because she pees in the house. They said she was outdoor only. The first rainstorm, I saw he seeking shelter under a lawn chair. She has been in my house since - and she uses the cat box just fine.

(34,137 posts)Ones that were dropped off in front of our farm, and many, many cats that came from the Animal Shelter. One of our dogs was adopted from a couple in the middle of a divorce. They all lived with us until they died or we put them to sleep because they were in so much pain.
I'd bet your neighbors didn't clean the cat box often enough. My current cat is good about using the box most of the time but when it is dirty he will pee on the floor in front of it. I can't clean it due to my back problems and there is only so much nagging I am willing to do with my husband. The cat does have 60 acres of land and a cat door so he could go outside but in his old age he has decided to spend most of his time in doors.

(20,586 posts)now she uses the cat box before she goes out in the morning!
They are so funny - never a doubt how they feel about things!

(34,137 posts)But after our older cat died, he started to. I realized that he perceived the box as the other cat's territory and always went outside. Now as with your cat he will use the box before he goes out and will come in to use it.
The other part of it is that there is less open soil outside for him to dig in. At our old house we had vegetable beds and did not mulch the flower beds. This house, while only a hundred yards away, has mulched beds and the soil is not as loose.

(20,586 posts)some of my moles? I have about 40 "cat boxes" in the yard. None of the cats I have now are hunters so the moles have taken over - plus they like the convenient cat boxes in the yard.
csziggy
(34,137 posts)The barn cats used to hunt them and maybe the current barn cat (not mine but the people running the farm) does.
My old cat is cross eyed and now going deaf. He never was much of a hunter but now he is completely useless for hunting. Which is fine since he does like to go out on nice days to sun himself and I don't want him catching birds.

(15,550 posts)who went on to become guide dogs for blind people. I received the puppies when they were six weeks old, trained them and then they are called back to the school when they are 13 months old and are professionally trained and then given to a blind person. As hard as giving them up is, you go into the program knowing that someone needs that dog more than you do. The gratitude they show to the puppy raiser is something I will never forget.

What other presidents, other than tRump, have not had pets in the White House? That's so telling.
Johnyawl
(3,205 posts)only Polk and Andrew Johnson are listed as not having pets. (Johnson apparently fed the mice in the White House, but they were feral.
The one with longest list of pets appears to be Teddy Roosevelt who had a real menagerie of 26 pets. JFK and Coolidge had over a dozen each.
