I'm out on a limb here but anyone else out there think Rachel is spreading herself too thin?

Her nightly broadcast are getting to be fewer and fewer and not as substantive as they used to be. I miss of in-depth coverage of current events and exceptional "scoops"

Her podcasts are good but she was doing a public service with her nightly coverage of current news events...now MSNBC as become just a regurgitation of the daily programming and the same news that is repeated over and over again.

No. If she only did her show, there would be those who complained she was a one trick pony. Squinch Nov 2018 #1

Hmmm.... Maybe this is why, over the last few weeks, I've turned it off and gone to bed. nt LAS14 Nov 2018 #3

She could use some support for her detailed news coverage, and I don't think she's getting it from MSNBC any longer---not like she used to.

Anyway, even if it were happening, she's not done podcasts long enough for it to be revealed as a pattern in these turbulent times. Many nights she has to jettison planned segments to cover news breaking that day, and those researched segments are delayed for other episodes.

Btw, I also disagreed with your other OP this morning that "Trump has made it so that no one has to respect our courts, our laws, or our values." It seems an odd response to the messages sent by both our party and the voters in the midterms. Even the previous strong rural support for trumpism has measurably weakened in many areas, including the midwest.

Also, after a month of your prolific involvement with the community here, I would think you'd realize most Democrats have to respect these things because it comes from within us, is part of who we are.

Hope whatever is causing your part of the disrespect for our courts, laws and values that you mistakenly ascribe to everyone has already passed, just a low mood perhaps?

I can't watch Rachel live, because I don't have cable... If you listen to the podcast of her show, it is striking how repetitive she is. It's like she only wants to cover a few topics and stretches through her writing. I love her, but her show, IMHO, has gotten lazy... Maybe that's her style to be repetitive to reinforce the points she's trying to make. She only has a couple of guests, and she brings in a lot of history... I dearly love her, but I miss her old shows where she packed in more news.

She is getting better. Please, don’t work so much you get sick. Take as many fishing days as you need.
