As disappointing as some of these names, to me personally, are on this list, it was their choice to sign it.
Here is a list of the Democratic senators and Independents who caucus with the Democrats urging Franken to step aside, as of 5:30 p.m.:
Kristen Gillibrand, New York
Chuck Schumer, New York
Claire McCaskill, Missouri
Patty Murray, Washington
Mazi Keiko Hirono, Hawaii
Maggie Hassan, New Hampshire
Kamala Harris, California
Bob Casey, Pennsylvania
Joe Donnelly, Indiana
Sherrod Brown, Ohio
Heidi Heitkamp, North Dakota
Debbie Stabenow, Michigan
Ed Markey, Massachusetts
Maria Cantwell, Washington
Tammy Baldwin, Wisconsin
Chris Murphy, Connecticut
Tom Udall, New Mexico
Dick Durbin, Illinois
Patrick Leahy, Vermont
Tom Carper, Delaware
Dianne Feinstein, California
Michael Bennet, Colorado
Martin Heinrich, New Mexico
Tammy Duckworth, Illinois
Jeff Merkley, Oregon
Ron Wyden, Oregon
Elizabeth Warren, Massachusetts
Cory Booker, New Jersey
The fact that Gillibrand is number one on the list may or may not have significance I didnt write the list.
Edited to add Bernie Sanders.
Also added: Nelson, Peters, whitehouse, Tester and King.
Very important reminder from :

(102,376 posts)As to defending the others, once Gillibrand got the boulder rolling downward towards AL, there was no stopping it. Franken saw that and did what he believed to be the honorable thing--for the benefit of party.

(6,143 posts)I think you are overestimating Gillibrand's power and influence. All those Senators called for Franken to resign the same morning, some within minutes, as Gillibrand. This was obviously a pre-planned effort by leadership. Plus Franken had already announced the press conference about his 'political future' the day before.
But you are right. Franken took one for the team and did the honorable thing.

(23,156 posts)All of the others are damaged goods in my eyes and I will not contribute to one of them during the primary. Joe Biden and Amy are my dream team, with Amy and Adam Schiff would be another good choice.

(94,737 posts)"I had condemned his conduct early on when the first allegation was made," she told CNN's Dana Bash on "Inside Politics." "I felt I was in a different role as his colleague, that I'm someone that has worked with him for a long time, there's a lot of trust there, and I felt it was best to handle it in that way."
In a coordinated effort, female Democratic senators called for Franken's resignation in rapid fire Wednesday. Klobuchar did not join in that effort and said in a statement at the time that she spoke with him privately. By Wednesday evening, more than two dozen senators -- including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer -- had called for Franken's resignation.
"I talked to him about the fact that you had reached the situation with the mounting allegations and the fact that there was an ethics investigation going on," Klobuchar told CNN Friday.

Its a list anyone can find anytime. Its historic even.
Perhaps you mean the list of senators are the ones who created a divide.

(28,845 posts)The rest of us will decide when we choose to put it aside. Im not advocating anyone do anything but remember.
We also can speculate on who wed like in 2020 up to the moment the candidate is declared.
Demsrule86
(68,689 posts)can only divide us. I find the attacks on Gillibrand off putting as pretty much every Senator came out and suggested that Sen. Franken should resign...why single her out? I wouldn't vote for her in a primary because politically I think we need a person from a swing state...but she is a fine Senator.
LakeArenal
(28,845 posts)We will vote for the Democratic candidate. There are way too many great candidates to consider that did not sign the letter to railroad Franken. She may be a fine senator. New York can elect any senator they want. I won't vote for her in a primary. Again there are fab candidates that are not one of those senators. She is being singled out here, not by the members of DU but because donors have the same sentiments as many on this thread. So go fight with them not me. You won't change my mind about this topic. So quit coming at me. Good night.

Kaine's statement:
WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine released the following statement on Senator Al Frankens decision to resign:
I told Senator Franken yesterday I believed he needed to step aside because the behavior described by multiple women is just wrong.
