"I wanted to write the letter because it seems unfair that the shoes are only in the boys section and not in the girls section, Riley tells Teen Vogue. I wanted to help make things equal for all girls, because girls play basketball, too.

pink is shown here in almost everything short of a trench coateven in a golf jacket and a dinner jacket. Now more of a staple than a luxury, the color is even acceptable to teen-age boys.

(269,123 posts)I have never once thought of buying a sneaker for myself because of a male athlete's name. I buy sneakers designed for women's feet for running or walking - only walking these days. I wouldn't buy an MJ or a Curry shoe for women/girls.
