9-year-old girl asks Steph Curry why his shoe line is only for boys

"I wanted to write the letter because it seems unfair that the shoes are only in the boys’ section and not in the girls’ section,” Riley tells Teen Vogue. “I wanted to help make things equal for all girls, because girls play basketball, too.”

I love it!

So far, no response from Curry, yet.

the girls' section, they'll slap an extra $20 on the price, like manufacturers do with most things that are designated as "female."

really fluid for decades (and actually reversed if you go back far enough)

According to Life Magazine, 1955 marked the “Peak Year for Pink” for men and women alike. “Across the US,” the article tells us, “a pink peak in male clothing has been reached as manufacturers have saturated more and more of their output with the pretty pastel…pink is shown here in almost everything short of a trench coat—even in a golf jacket and a dinner jacket. Now more of a staple than a luxury, the color is even acceptable to teen-age boys.”

I myself am very gender fluid when it comes to clothing and colourways

6. A better question is why are our female athletes not given more shoes with their names

I have never once thought of buying a sneaker for myself because of a male athlete's name. I buy sneakers designed for women's feet for running or walking - only walking these days. I wouldn't buy an MJ or a Curry shoe for women/girls.
