"How much has Mark Zuckerberg lost?

That was a noon nooz tease line.

The real story, it seems to me, is how much actual investors who paid actual cash for actual stock lost.

Of course, anyone who invests in IPOs is gambling, pure and simple.

Only once, many, many, many years ago, did I ever buy an IPO. Many years before that, when I was in the Navy, I once gambled an entire paycheck away playing cards. Those are the only two times I ever gambled, actually. I will never gamble again.

IPOs are always gambles.

I don't feel sorry for Mark Zuckerberg. I do feel sorry for "little guy" investors who have now lost almost 50% of their initial investment. The stock opened at $38. Today it sold at $20.

By the way, how much did Mark Zuckerberg "lose"? Nothing. His paper forune, however, dropped by $3B. Poor baby.
