What if the actions taken in N.C. District 9 were repeated elsewhere?
Alarm bells ring for me when I hear about unexpectedly high numbers of absentee ballots being requested, or rejected, in multiple locations around the country.
The first time I heard it, I was glad, assuming it was people determined to contain Trumps power.
But I got wiser and more wary of good news.
Long lines, it turns out, dont always mean high interest. Sometimes it means that machines are broken or absent, or electronic poll books are shut down.
So.. where were there strange reports of absentee ballot anomalies?

(16,189 posts)High rejection rate sim democratic counties... but also, several voters found to be deceased... and 149 ballots sent out but returned as undeliverable.

(16,189 posts)the culprit was a drivers license signature, hastily squiggled on an electronic signature pad two years earlier.
Electronic signatures? OMG who pays attention to those? Hard to be consistent.
