It's like Joe Biden, he is certainly qualified but has run before and 2016 was his final legitimate chance and he let it pass him by.

This post got me thinking about Biden/ORourke. That would be unstoppable, IMO, especially after the Trump Trainwreck.

(16,439 posts)Im particularly intrigued by ORourke and will likely vote for him in my states primary if he runs. At the same time, given the fact the partys core base are women and people of color, I think the ticket should reflect that. Doesnt matter what part of the ticket it is, but I see no scenario where running two white males is optimal.

(11,639 posts)He felt like Beto said what he believed and not what was poll tested. That's what attracted me also... he ran on an unapologetically liberal platform in a red state when other democratic candidates in places like Missouri and Indiana were trying to straddle the fence. Authenticity matters. That may be what he has most in common with Obama and its also what even the kids can feel.
