3. That's a real puzzler unless Flynn AND Trump are bona fide Russian agents.

We always assume Don is just a dim witted, money grubbing, Putin ass kisser, but maybe it's more. Maybe he was installed by Russia via the meddling and was totally aware of what was going on and what his mission is. Anyone taken the Babbel Russian course??

8. That has been known for months now

I don't mean to sound rude, but this is frustrating. You're still in the dark about something that has been known for a while. You occasionally hear intelligence-savvy pundits on TV making reference to it. Luke Harding discusses it -- far too briefly -- in his book Collusion and in several online articles. But only one person has written a full run-down on what happened, to the extent that we know it. (We do NOT know all that happened.)

The subject is difficult to discuss for legal reasons. The lady in question has a record of being very litigious.

There is substantial evidence that Flynn, while head of the DIA, was caught in a classic honeytrap involving a woman named Svetlana Lokhova. She denies being FSB but there is overwhelming evidence that she has strong links to Russian intelligence. She also is supposedly a bigwig in Sperbank. She and Flynn met at an intelligence conference in Cambridge which fell under the aegis of Christopher Andrew, whose own closeness to Russia has raised some eyebrows. (Long story there.) In his lovey-dovey emails to Lokhova, Flynn referred to himself as "Mischa."

I don't know if there was a sexual relationship, but there was definitely a relationship.

At this point, things get frustrating. You probably are going to say "Oh yeah? Prove it!" That's precisely what you should say. But the best way to prove it would be to point to a long article which I wrote in December of 2017. That piece has lots of cited sources will make it easy for you to do further research, if you care to do so.

HOWEVER: I can't link to that piece here because DU has this insane rule which says that I'm not supposed to link to any of my own writings. They don't want me to use this forum for self-promotion. Understandable. But in this case, I'm not promoting anything, I'm trying to prove a point.

So what are my alternatives? Well, I can cut and paste the whole article and place it here. But the piece is nearly 3000 words long so...no. You want a summary? Sorry, but again: No. A proper, detailed summary takes more work than writing a 3000-word original.

So all I can say is this: Hit Google and do your own research. I've given you some names. That's a good start.

I just find the collusion or complicity of so many people mind boggling. The Pence-Manafort-Flynn connection.

Almost nothing bad is being said about Pence but he has to deeply involved.

The person who is used as an expert on msnbc, Frank Figuslia (I don't know how to spell his last name) made a bold statement yesterday. He said look for a Middle Eastern country to also be involved in election meddling. I know that Kushner had meetings with people from UAE. Was money funneled to the GOP? Is this a reason that Republicans want the Mueller investigation shut down? We aren't talking enough about Paul Ryan's hot mic shh moment.

Back to Flynn, he must have given up some dandy information. Trump should be scared shitless about his 19 sessions with prosecutors, and not all with Mueller. More to come Friday. It's a bad week for Donald, maybe he could hold a 2020 campaign rally in Idaho to boost his ego?

5. i think either Flynn knows something about Trump through Putin/Russia or Putin/Russia

has told Trump not to go after him because Flynn in some way is more valuable to them . Flynn was actually in govt with access to secrets.

but it really is interesting.

i think Flynn may also know about and have actually seen what Russia has on Trump .

6. I think Cohen upsets him most

Because Cohen is aware of all the financial crimes which could ruin drumpf, which is what he really cares about. Flynn was mostly in on Russia collusion which doesn’t worry drumpf in his simple little mind, even though it should.

and I think THAT bothers him a lot as he knows he'll have to pardon them and doesn't know how he'll survive that.
