But when the victim settles his lawsuit with the city, the officers assets should be the first part of the payment.

Do that enough times and these blue wearing criminals would think twice. And same with any officer witnessing the event who did not stop/report it.

In any workplace I have ever been if someone is caught stealing they are terminated. As are any employees who witnessed it and did not report it.

... should start to go after the insurance companies for not doing do dilligence if its found out the guy who did the punching didn't get a proper back ground check and was moved.

Thug ass'd cops, you're right ... the people who witnessed it should be fired too
