Not easy time, but Cohen did a lot of dirty work for Trump and couldn't be expected to get off "Scott Free".

However, it will be a lot easier for Cohen than Manafort, that is for sure.

sentencing. SDNY is saying Cohen wasn't cooperative and is recommending substantial prison time. I'm still unclear on what Mueller's filing is saying.

He knows Cohen's going away for 4-5 years based on the SDNY recommendation so he sees no reason to ask for more given that Cohen has cooperated with his probe.

Mueller essentially says Cohen can be sentenced for the SDNY crimes and given Cohen's cooperation in the Mueller probe itself, he's not recommending anything beyond what SDNY is asking for, which is 4-5 years.

Lie initially? It's frustrating to me because trump said go easy on flynn, and flynn gets a recommendation of no jail time. trump said (paraphrasing): throw the book at Cohen, then Cohen is given substantial time.
