Pelosi will be the Speaker and then she would be POTUS if by some stretch of the imagination that both tRump and Pence are thrown out.

That is an elected seat and HRC is not in any electable office.

Yes, it's a nice fantasy, but that's all it is.

to be selected from among the members of the House. They always have been, but there is no law and nothing in the Constitution that says they have to be.

It's a highly unlikely scenario, but it is a scenario that doesn't breach any laws and would be possible if the House decided to make her Speaker. They won't, but they could.

It isn't fantasy and it isn't ridiculous. It is possible by law. It may be unlikely that Dems would choose to go that route, but I don't think it is necessary to have all the snark and pointed responses that we have here.

...some people are willing to cast her aside as a placedholder to get Hillary Clinton into the White House in the less than zero chance that they can get Trump and Pence Impeached and convicted at the exact same time.

His claim to the office predates Hillary's.

President Gore can direct a thorough inquiry into all that went on in Ohio in 2004 -- Hillary might have to wait until after Kerry serves a term, too.
