I heard a GOPper earlier today saying Iowa's HUGE turn out tonight would show how enthusiastic the repub voters are this year. Yep, they really showed us...

I'm going to predict Romney vs. Obama with a near record low turnout.

not much difference, like 10 less votes. but the fact there is no improvement says a lot.

not showing up = none of the above

As I have long suspected, most of Iowa's Republican voters (though I believe they are sadly misguided) are mostly good people.

The turnout in 2008 was around 120,000. The turnout this time was around 122,000. A small increase, but an increase.

where the "results" of the Iowa caucus were tabulated in classic occult Republicon secrecy.

So no one should trust the participant "count" either.

What are the republicons hiding?

I mean, as a percentage of the total caucus-goer population vs 2008. I looked at Census and it's not really precise enough to get into that level of detail that I can find (sure it's there, just not on the quick facts page for Iowa).

The up side of that is that those who showed up are all primed to get ready to work right now. Much more time for voter registration and GOTV work this time around.
