FUNERAL OF SGT. LEANDRO JASSO

is now over. He's the Army Ranger who was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan on Thanksgiving weekend. Family friends. He was 25

Our glorification of battle is going to kill us.

That death still is one of the worst things about the war. The fact that the military actively worked to cover up what happened is an absolute disgrace.

The company first sergeant reported it as a FF that day. The battalion sergeant major and commander showed up the next day and that was reported up the chain.
